FAQ

  • When are tax documents coming out? Please refer to the timeline email for our tax documents that went out on February 13th, 2026. If you need us to send this information again or did not receive it, please let us know, and we can send it over via email.
  • Can you print out my tax documents for me? We cannot accommodate printing out tax packages for clients. If you wish to receive paper copies of your tax documents, we recommend setting your document preferences as “mailed”. Please note that making this change will not take effect until next year if you submit the request during tax season.
  • Why do tax documents arrive at different times? Receiving 1099s at different times is normal. Because each financial institution follows its own reporting schedule within IRS guidelines, tax documents are often released in phases throughout tax season, often due to the timing of the underlying investments within the portfolio.
  • How can I change my document delivery preferences at Assetmark? You can change your preferences by logging in to your Assetmark account and following the video linked below. Unfortunately, we cannot do this for you.

Please remember when looking for Tax Documents to check your email (including spam & junk) and mailbox. Generally, if you’ve never logged into an investment company website, you will receive Tax Documents via mail.

    • AssetMark
      • IRA 1099s – Mailed out by January 31, also available online at this time
      • Non-IRA 1099s – Mailed out by February 17, also available online at that time
      • Revisions are permitted through March

    • Annuity 1099s — January 31
    • Direct Mutual Funds & REITs 1099s — January 31

  • Kestra Brokerage
    • IRA 1099s online after January 16 (Mailed January 24)
    • Non-IRA 1099s online and mailed January 24 to March 11
    • Revisions – February 12 to March 11
